• He Fears for his Life and that of his House.
• He knowsCharlotte and Centius are dead.
• He received a Note following the Arson that, he claims, proves they are no longer alive.
• His New FC also lost her First Companion…in a FIRE.

The sensational interview took place at the new House Tarrant, an imposing home situated in a remote location, chosen it is claimed by both Cor and his Companion Lark, to provide them with protection following the attack in Telnus a short while ago. Protection, they claim, from the enemies of Tarrant’s past, intent of causing him and his Household harm. These same people are also responsible for abducting Lady Charlotte and Centius, setting alight to Tarrant Villa, and then murdering the two as an act of revenge against Tarrant, who openly admits he has many enemies.

Tarrant’s version of events is the following, that:

At some point in the day, both Charlotte and Centius where taken by force from the Villa, and moved elsewhere. Then, the attackers set light to the Villa, causing a devastating Fire. They left a note, claims Cor, that somehow miraculously survived the intense fire long enough for him to lay his hands on it. Charlotte and Centius were either murdered at this point, or held elsewhere for ransom.

Once the fire was discovered, and the two where presumed to have been inside, it was already known to Tarrant that they where dead, by means of the note. When asked about the note, Tarrant grew cagey, preferring not to discuss it.

Despite NO Bodies being found to finally prove both are dead, Tarrant is certain they are no longer alive. When asked, he did admit that should it transpire they are still living that he would do everything in his power to get them.

Following this interview, FWF was again in the presence of the Tarrant Household when Lady Lark recounted a traumatic ordeal in Telnus alongside her Companions Mother when an unknown assailant attempted to attack them both. It also transpires that Lady Kismet has also received a threatening note that claimed they would harm her if she travelled without Guard, which she rarely does. However in recent days she has been seen with Guardsmen wherever she travels.

Whispers around Telnus say that perhaps Lady Lark is with child, but Free Woman Fashion is unable to confirm this. However, it is clear that this story, with it’s many twists and turns has much still to be revealed.

Charlotte Milev, Physician, and her Son Centius Tarrant, are thought to have been in the Villa at the time of the fire, and have not been seen or heard from since.

Charlotte, Companion of Cor Tarrant, was a well known figure in the area and beyond, and Centius, the last of the Tarrant line, was a little under one years old. The news has left Citizens shocked and horrified, but beneath the surface of this grief, rumours are swirling.

With little Official details currently available, rumours that an old enemy of Cor Tarrant, the powerful head of House Tarrant, may have started the fire, are rife. Others claim Lady Charlotte may have deliberately started the fire in order to end her life, along with her Son.

Details of the fire itself are unknown, however it is known that the fire itself caused sufficient enough damage to render any immediate search of the property futile.

The burnt out and still smouldering Villa was discovered by Kismet, Mother of Cor Tarrant, Larkie Mistwater and Cor Tarrant. A source close to the Tarrant Household said, “Cor has been feeling very down of late. He has not smiled much.  He’s taken Lark as his Companion out of necessity to continue the line of Tarrant, since now that Centius is dead, Cor is the last of the Tarrants.”

The fact Cor has Companioned so soon has lead some to believe he knows or has been made aware of the fact his FC and Child are dead.

Some Citizens have made their way to the site of the former grand Villa in order to catch sight of what was once a beautiful imposing home to one of Telnus’ most powerful families. Some have gone even further, snatching small objects that litter the ground. These items are already been sought by dark minded collectors eager to own a piece of what will surely become fabled history in Telnus.

The investigation could take some time. The House appears eerie, on one wing one would never know the horror that befell this home, apart from the blacked out insides. Yet a little away smouldering timbers and debris lay together, whilst a curtain still hangs in the upstairs window, blowing calmly in the wind. The smell of smoke, and other, perhaps darker smells fill the air.

With still no official verdict on the cause of the fire, and uncertainty surrounding what exactly has happened to the occupants, it seems this will remain in the public eye for quite some time.

Lady Lil Alter, Chief Physician of Avian Isle, who has since had her Companionship disolved, recounted the full story to FWF.

“Some three days ago, it came to be that the Kennel Mistress of my city, Lady Aspen, was charged by a warrior, Antilles, with drinking alcohol in front of men in public, and arrested,” she said, “Our city had no laws against women drinking alcohol, and this was clearly a miscarriage of justice.  I became quite worried that NONE of the men of the city, including the warrior’s superior, censured him for arresting a woman without being sure of the laws.” With nothing done about the matter, Lady Lil felt she must do something.

She spoke of her frustration at the men of the City seemingly more interested in “trivial matters” such as what they wore, drink or furring Slaves.

With the weight of the situation heavily on her mind, and the thought of not only protecting her fellow Citizen, but the wellbeing of her Companion who seemed happy to stand aside and do nothing, Lady Lil spoke of her dilemma. “As a Free Woman, I feel it is my duty to help uphold my society’s laws and ethics as best I can.  As a companion, I took the well-being of my companion to heart – including his conscience.”

It was then that she came about the idea of not only donning a Chastity Belt herself, but placing the Household Slave in one too. “ I  determined he should be helped in eliminating these distractions, and went to him to express my thoughts on the matter.  He gave me his permission, but perhaps he did not understand the gravity of the situation…”

Lady Lil was right, he didn’t. Unaware his Companion and Slave where resplendant in Chastity Belts, he had no idea what lay in store for him, literally. “I determined to belt  adara, the slave I had brought to our home during our companionship.  I also had already belted myself.  As I have always endeavoured to obey my companion, I threw away Adara’s key — I was panicked and knew if he asked for it, I would of course obey him, but would that be to the benefit of him or our community.  Certainly, it could not improve the moral or legal client, or poor Lady Aspen’s circumstances.  I did not think to throw away the key to my own belt, I’m not sure why.”

At this point, Lady Lil’s Companion was still unaware that both his Companion and Slave where belted. But when he need find out Lady Lil said, ”Needless to say, he was livid.  And seemingly forgot he had given me permission to do anything within the law to help him do his moral duty and help Lady Aspen…. He chose to dissolve our companionship on the basis that I disobeyed him.”

Left with the fact the Companionship was dissolved, Lady Lil resolved to pick up the pieces, but with reason. “I was shocked and dismayed, yet decided not to take him to court on the matter, knowing in the current climate, the men simply weren’t thinking….” But the story does not end there. Less then a day after the dissolution of the Companionship, Lady Lil received word that the same Slave she had brought into the Household was now known as “Lady Lilith”. “Yesterday, I was stunned to learn that immediately after dissolving our companionship on these flimsy grounds, my companion freed the slave and announced his intention to companion her.  Adara walked into the city and announced herself as Lilith, his intended…..”

“Since this happened, I’ve been quite anxious, unable to sleep, with horrible headaches that plague me constantly,” said Lady Lil.

Lady Lilith, as she is now known, was contacted for her side of the story. She was the Household Slave who Lady Lil had wear a Chastity Belt, and who is now set to Companion Marius, Lady Lil’s former FC. “The actions of my former Mistress were misguided,” she stated, “She alluded that he was incapable of performing his duties, which incidentally do not include legal matters of the city. For a woman to assume she can control a man in such a way deserved much worse than the contract being nullified. Incidentaly, she also violated her contract by belting herself as well. Though she seems fine, she is courting our Admin now. Which has made my Intended feel that this was just her way out.”

FWF neglected to ask the now Lady Lilith whether she had found the key to her Chastity Belt. We don’t know about you, but all this mention of Lil’s and Liliths leaves us confused!

Shiefo is well known and well respected, both in the region of Telnus and much farther afield.

 The Future Ubara, and Companion of Shiefo, would surely enjoy the fruits of his position.

Location: Telnus, Isle of Cos.

Children: None.

FCed: Never, but that can soon change.

Ignore his love of the Peasant Bow, and Mehrunes would, it is said by his friends, make an ideal Companion. Never Companioned, and Childless, Mehrunes would make a good match for a younger Free Woman perhaps. Someone who has never been FCed, like him. Mehrunes is described as a good and honourable Warrior.

Markos Binder

Administrator of Laura

Caste: Believed Born Warrior but Active Scribe Caste.

Location: Laura.

Children: None?

FCed: Believed to have only FCed once.

Markos Binder, Administrator of Laura, would make an ideal Companion for a Free Woman who enjoys the more rural way of life. Handsome, with a mop of dirty Blonde hair, and a rather nice dresser, Markos has obviously benefitted from generations of good Companionships, and any Mother looking at a Companionship with her Daughter should note that, provided her daughter does not look like the back end of a bosk, Markos should provide attractive offspring.

Markos is said to have a love of women and fine wine, however, if you overlook this, he is described as an interesting man who is well respected and “commanding of attention when he walks into a room.” He is also described as being “right most of the time.”

Free Peasant Dress at Blood Stone Island

Arwen Serpente. Blood Stone Island. A Name, and a Place that may or may not be familiar to you, but if you are a Low Caste Woman or a Peasant, then they will be familiar to you very soon.

I was blown away when I was shown this amazing Dress, which, lets face it…is actually better then some of the Clothing on the Market for around the price of $L400. In fact, this Gown was originally sold by Arwen for $L270, and was much improved when it became the Freebie at Blood Stone Island.

The Outfit includes Shirt, Pants, Gloves, Prim Shirt with Built-In Belt, Scarf with Rose Detail, and a Veil.

The whole outfit is wonderfully Textured, and the little details like the belt, scarf and veil make all the difference.

If I had to find fault, and to be honest I don’t think there is any, I would say the Rose on the Scarf didn’t seem to do it for me, and the Veils seemed very elaborate for a Low Caste/Peasant Dress. I think the “Slutress” Veils from Bina for $L1 (Yes, One Linden!) would be more suited to the outfit.

The Apron over the Skirt and the Sculpted Bow is a realistic as well as neat touch, and the bodice of the outfit is justperfect with very nice edging around the sleeves, enough to be pretty but remain a dress perfect for a Low Caste Woman.

And I bought a veil there, it was plain, but set up beautifully for around 1L$-10L$ and you can change the colors in Edit. So its an affordable beautiful shop.

But I also want to remind you all that, as much as we wish, alot of people don’t put out good affordable stuff. So as much as we wish they did. Life isn’t THAT awesome.. But sometimes… We suddendly find that store. Anyways, another affordable place I want to mention AGAIN for hair is Truth. Truth has beautiful hair for 225 each. And its in packs, light Light Blondes, Blondes, etcetera. Now I know alot of you have been reading through What NOT to wear by Donatelle Rossini. I have a few fashion rules.

- Try to be yourself. Noone wants to see you copying someone else’s style.

- Try to keep to your caste. Trying new fluffy blue fancy gowns when your low caste isnt fashionable.

- Don’t wear Star Wars outfits! Then you’ll be fine.

There are many occasions when a Free Woman is faced with a myriad of choices on what to wear, and one of these is an important Dinner. Your Companion may be seeking to garner the attention of another person in attendance in order to talk Caste matters, or perhaps as an Uncompanioned Free Woman, you are wishing to catch the eye of someone there.

Looking right, is of course the first key to achieving your aim, and with so many styles on offer to chose from, it can feel like you could fall at the first fence. Regardless of your Wealth, Caste or Size, making the most of what you have is simple when you know how.

The first port of call is to find your shape. Tall, Thin Free Woman can wear Empire Line Gowns to accentuate their slenderness, but Short, Larger Ladies should avoid this, as it tends to lead to one looking like a Tent. Instead, she should opt for something that nips in around the waist. Of course, if one favours Robes of Concealment, this does not become all too much of an issue.

The Tall, Slender Lady can be complimented by the addition of a Shawl, or Neck Scarf, as well as additions to the Gown such as long, floaty draping fabric at the end of the sleeves that can look extremely elegant when done right.

Ladies of a Larger, Shorter Nature should avoid over accessoring, and should, at all costs, steer clear of horizontal lines which serve to only extend the eye across the Body, leaving the impression one is in fact larger then they really are.  Instead, vertical lines can give the impression of stature and height.

There are a myriad of Fabrics, Patterns and Textiles available today, some nicer then others. Shopping around amongst Clothiers can find you a relative bargain, in fact, our previous feature “New & Nearly New” provided you with a completely Free Gown for those who are short of coin or tight fisted. When it comes to patterns, think wisely.

Currently, a large number of gowns are being designed with the dainty addition of flower patterning, or attractive floaty patterns. Overbearing patterns that are too large or harsh on the eye can swamp a Lady and leave her looking ridiculous.

If Companioned, one can consider matching her attire to her Companions, not only does this serve to show unity between you, but it means that you will not clash with him. If your Companions intended attire does not match yours, consider picking out some accent colours from his clothing and drawing it into yours. If you are unlucky to have a Companion who not blessed with good choice when it comes to his clothing, consider politely suggesting something else, but chose your words carefully. If the colours he choses absolutely do not match your intended clothing, you have two options, risk it, or change.

One major factor that can help you achieve your aim at the Dinner, is your hair. It is the Fashion in a number of Cities for High Caste women to wear elaborate head pieces that incorporate the hair into it, such as ones available at “Tekeli-Li”. Low Caste Ladies are increasingly opting for up-do’s as well.

Jewellry is also a factor, and even if you are not in abundance of coin, you can in fact find a great selection of Jewellry that gives the appearance of wealth, if that is your desire.

One should of course always remember her place, and attempting to overshadow everyone else can often step on the wrong toes. Always remember to maintain the social boundaries, unless you are a social climber, in which case, tread carefully.

If their is a Lady at the Dinner who is wearing something you admire, compliment her and politely enquire where she got it, but if you must have it, avoid getting it as soon as the Dinner is over.

Wearing the right veils is of course a major issue with Dinners. One wants to be able to eat without too much trouble, but doesn’t want to end up with filthy food stains on her veils. If it is not possible to eat without making a mess, then don’t eat at all. Instead, lift your veil and make an elaborate show of eating, compliment the host on the food, then put it back on the plate. You can continue this for a while, then push the food around the plate a little to give the appearance it has been enjoyed. It is always possible to eat at home, so don’t fret if you cannot eat without making a bosks ear of it.

Finally, whether you are on your own or with Family or your Companion remember that it is not always so much what you are wearing, but how you wear it. One can always achieve her aim if she carries herself properly, says the right thing, and is the perfect Free Woman!
